Farmhouse Hutch

I found, bought and painted this hutch in 3 days, why you ask? Is she crazy you wonder? Well... a little bit!

I sold a hutch at a local store so I wanted to put in a replacement before the other one left the store.  It was not much to look at when I first bought it but it was solid and had a good base.  The one thing I did hate about it was the rose pattern on the glass window ( so very 80's)  If anyone out there has any solutions on how to hide unwanted glass etchings let me know.  Painting it with glass paint didn't work, spray frost didn't work so I just left it.
I painted the entire hutch white and then used my crackle glaze, let that dry for and hour.  I painted over the hutch with an antique tin color by Behr, sanded then I went over it once again with antiquing glaze.  The inside back of the hutch is voyage by Behr then I added amber lights and Done!!!

My New Hutch

Im loving my new hutch and my new favorite color voyage by Behr.  We are in the middle of moving into a new house in a couple of weeks and my whole life is in boxes.  Im so excited to be moving into a bigger house Iv'e had the paint colors picked out for months and now Im fanatically painting new furniture to go into my new space.  I can't wait to start showing you before and after pictures of my house.
This hutch is going to go into my dining room and will hold all my fiesta ware.  I painted the outside to match my dinning room table its the same distressed taupe and white.  The inside blue is voyage and I love it a lot- my plan is to use it as one of the accent colors in the dinning room.
I don't have a before picture but it was just plain white I added the wood details.

Look at me I'm Fancy

I really like this coffee table the curves and detail are very sophisticated.  I used my new favorite color antique tin by Behr and I also changed the color of the shinny silver metal details.  It has a nice leather top that I didn't have to rip off or anything- win win!!!  (O yeah did I mention it sold before it even left the garage!)
