Up-cycled door

This is my inspiration photo for the old door light sconce I made.

This is the old door I found and decided to try this cute idea.

This is the after project

I found a cheap brass sconce and spray painted it cream then drilled holes, added glass crystals and shades.  I added some teal paint to accentuate the texture of the door and used old shelf brackets on the bottom to stabilize it.

Can't you picture this next to your favorite reading chair?

Secretary of Blue

An old secretary redo

Before

After
With a twitch of my nose it magically transformed into a beautiful blue secretary.  (wish it was that easy)  I added amber glass knobs to accentuate the copper color I used on the inside.  The colors remind me of the upcoming cool fall days that are coming very soon.

Welcome Home

I would have walked right past this ugly piece of furniture but the owner insisted he would make me a deal so I took it.  I knew I couldn't make it look any worse!
I had an old burlap sack so I decided to make a cover for a bench, I changed the hardware, added another hook and wood embellishment.  I also decided to put a chalk board in the empty hole that I assume was a mirror at one time. Yes I changed the turquoise to white and added a little antiquing glaze.
