A Lovely Character

This dresser was a hot mess to say it nicely, but it was full of character and possibilities.

The drawer even needed to be rebuilt. Ugly knobs chipped up wood *sad*

*Happy*

I used a combination of grays and greens both light and dark to accentuate all the great detail of the dresser.

Happy Halloween!!!

For those of you that like a good horror movie - some macabre, creepy doll heads.   I love working with found objects to create new, interesting and slightly disturbing  things.

 She's a candle holder!

Harvest Consol Table

I acquired this metal stand that used to hold an aquarium, what else to do with it other than add some old weathered table leaves.  I used a spray varnish to help seal in the rust on the frame, I didn't want to loose the natural distressed look with paint.  I think it worked well and did however have to buy a metal drill bit to attach the boards other than that it was an easy-peasy project.

Touch of Grey

Feeling Grey?  Its the new white, no black ok its both but I can't get enough of it.
My two new favorite grays are: Cordite and Mined coal both by Behr.

Table and chair painted grey then I whitewashed just the top.

I used a metallic bronze paint (by martha stewart) in all the detail work to accentuate it.

 One plus one is two
On this hutch I used an old dresser that was originally covered in fairies and a plain white cabinet and the two became one.

Original old cabinet with nothing to go with it (sad)
