~Vintage buffet makeover into a distressed beauty~
This started as a basic dark wood buffet that had been abused for a while. Full of scratches and some big divets and one of the legs once I got it home realized it was broken.
I wanted to save the top and keep it wood but it was too scratched up so had to be painted. It was even too messed up for a simple paint job so I decided to use a crackle glaze (it hides everything). I also try to change the hardware when its to dated and ugly but with a little paint they made the cut and got to stay.
I used chateau by Behr as first coat, second coat is squirrel and then I did a layer of crackle glaze. Over the top I put a layer of the color stonewashed and for the accent color I used the color painted turtle. Then distressed the whole thing.
