I love hunting for old used furniture that needs some love and attention the more neglected the better. I would love to share my creations and some of my inspiration with you.
I got this umm well I think its a vanity but it looked like it used to just be a dresser long long ago. I thought it was to me neither those things, so off with the mirror. I found a shelf that fit perfectly and an architectural topper piece that went on in place of the mirror. The color I chose was Behr scallion and sanded to let the black show through then put a hand rubbed wax finish and poof! Now its a country cottage chic hutch.
That turned out amazing and I love how you changed out the top. I've been on the look out for a cupboard just like that, but I never thought about putting two pieces together like that. How smart!
Pure magic!! The colors are so eye catching and also soothing to the soul.
ReplyDeleteVery nice piece!

ReplyDeleteYou always see the needle in the haystack. The diamond in the rough. And any other saying there is for turning the wood into wonderful.
