Blanket Chest Before and After

I found this great chest at a yard sale the owner said it was in his grandmothers house that she bought during the depression and it had been in the family ever since.  I love furniture with history and I feel obligated to to bring it back to life and make it part of our family history.   The wood was spiting in a few places but overall it was sturdy piece of furniture, I thought it would make a great bench in my dining room.
